- Last week on Tuesday, Nick ran his 45-foot boat named "N Control" into a bed of seagrass. He said he was unfamiliar with the area and went onto the wrong side of the channel. They tried to get the boat out but it was decided to wait until the tide was higher so no more seagrass would be damaged. Civil fines were determined and Nick was more than willing to pay, I'm sure. I think a boat name change is in order....
- The Backstreet Boys are 80% comfirmed for a tour in Australia in November. Not all dates have been confirmed yet and the Boys are still waiting for dates in Japan to be confirmed as well.
- Krystal Harris' debut album, Me and My Piano, was released yesterday. Krystal is the first artist to release an album on the new Backstreet record company, KBNHA Records. And if you saw her on the first leg of the 2001 Black & Blue World Tour, you know you have to get it.
- As I'm sure you all know, the Boys are performing at 102.7 KIIS FM's Wango Tango event at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles on June 16th (I got my tickets). There's also going to be a live webcast at www.fmitv.com at 3pm EST/12pm PST. So if you can't make it in person, check it out on the web. The second day of performances will also be webcast.
- As I'm sure you all know, "I Want It That Way" was #1 on TRL Retirement Home. The Boys performed it and they did an awesome joh. They were also inducted into the "TRL Hall Of Fame".
- Hope none of you missed the Boys' first concert special, Backstreet Boys: Larger Than Life. It was awesome, especially for me because I was at those concerts they taped the performances from. It was like being there all over again. Memories....
- According to 3deep.com, Howie is working with this group on a song he wrote for their up coming album. 3Deep is a music group made up of current and former soap stars. They sound pretty good.
- Starting June 3rd to the next 3 weeks, Top Of The Pops (BBC 2, Sundays @ 12 UK) will have a Backstreet special.
- The Boys are in numerous categories at SmashHits.com: Backstreet Boys for Top Group, AJ for Top Bod and Top Tattoos, Nick for Best Personality and Best Boy In Pop, and Brian for Top Singer.
- As you may have heard, Backstreet.Net is getting shut down due to lack of sponsers. Please sign this petition and help keep them online.
- Nick has hired an agent to help scout out solo projects for him in Hollywood. His family also recently bought property in the Hollywood Hills area to support his efforts. Much luck, Nick.
- As soon as the 2001 Black & Blue World Tour is done, the Backstreet Boys will be heading into the studio to record the follow-up to Black & Blue. It will be their fourth album in America, the fifth internationally.
